Bio: Dr. Murphy is a full spine chiropractor practicing Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson, Distraction and Activator techniques along with Cox Flexion-Distraction, Cranio-sacral technique and NIMMO. Dr. Murphy also has had full training in taking and reading X-ray, chiropractic rehabilitative care and nutritional counseling. As a family provider, Dr. Murphy has been educated in specialty techniques for patients who are post-surgery, osteoporotic, or special needs. She prides herself on treating her patients with respect and honesty.
Dr. Murphy is 1995 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Following a brief internship, Dr. Murphy started Pink Hill Chiropractic on August 19th, 1996. In 2002, Dr. Murphy received her Pediatric Diplomate from Palmer College and the International Chiropractic Association's Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics by following three years of advanced pediatric and maternity education. She continues to advance pediatric chiropractic by publishing articles in various journal publications and teaching other chiropractors across the country.
Dr. Murphy is a member of the ICA Pediatric Council, American Chiropractic Association, Vice President of the ACA-Pediatric Association, Christian Chiropractic Association, and the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. In 2011, Dr. Murphy was named Lenoir County's top 20 under 40 for achievement in professional and personal activities and in 2012 earned the North Carolina Chiropractic Association's Dr. Faye B. Eagles Woman of Chiropractic Award. In 2021 she received the Daughters of the American Revolution Excellence in Community Service Award.
In 2017, Dr. Murphy was named North Carolina Chiropractic of the Year and served as Grand Marshal in the Pink Hill Christmas Parade.
